Janelle and Josh Adopt

Hello, we are the Ponders, Josh and Janelle. We have been married for 11 years! We always knew we wanted children, and 5 years ago we started trying. It wasn’t long before we learned that due to medical factors for each of us, we would not be able to conceive naturally. We were told we could try IVF, so we did. We did 2 full rounds of stimulation, egg retrievals, countless shots and procedures. After all that we made 2 embryos. We attempted a fresh then a frozen transfer, but unfortunately neither one resulted in a pregnancy. We were blessed to be able to pay for IVF out of pocket (about 50k). But unfortunately we were not able to grow our family that way. We decided then that we would pursue adoption. It has been a long road but we are now matched with a baby girl due November 2! We are so excited. We have saved enough money to cover the cost of $64,000, but legal fees and travel expenses are not included in that total. We anticipate these to total around $10,000, which is our fundraising goal. Please help us welcome our daughter home without the burden of debt hanging over our heads.
