Hey, I am Brittany and my wife is Jess. We are starting our little family and are needing our tribe's help. We both work for Jefferson County Public School System, we love to travel, and we love our pups. We are strong believers that it takes a tribe to help raise babies and each and every person in our tribe means so much to us. We are very excited to start the process of creating our family in April, and hopefully our dreams of being mommas will soon be coming true. Since we are both women, we are choosing to have a baby in the most special way! We are going to do something called reciprocal IVF. This means we are going to use Jess' egg and a donor sperm to create our first little one, which will be grown in Brittany's belly. So cool, huh? Why are we choosing this route? Aside from not being a traditional couple this is the route that is best for Jess. Not many know, Jess has had complications and is considered a high risk due to previous losses, and now an even higher risk due to her age. This makes carrying a baby very risky and with many unknowns. The doctors, Jess, and myself agreed that retrieving her eggs and having me, Brittany, carry would be the best of both worlds, as well as the safest and healthiest option. However, this process is very expensive and will include many appointments as well as medications. That is where we could truly use your help with donations that will go to the appointments, treatments, medications, and any other fertility price tags we come across along the way. Helping with the financial stress of creating our baby would be more than a blessing.
