Josh & Shania IVF Journey Being married for six years now, we often get asked “When will you start your own family?” This is something we want more than anything and it is so tough to say “hopefully very soon” with a smile on our face. Dealing with the emotional and physical pain of infertility and celebrating the pregnancy announcements and births of so many close friends and loved ones is the most painful heartbreak we have grown to know. In 2016, Josh was told he was sterile, and would need a TESA test to determine if there was a blockage where they have a good possibility to retrieve some good swimmers. Finally after years of saving and challenges arising over the years in 2020 Josh was able to take the test. This test has confirmed that Josh has a blockage and surgery gives a 50% chance of removing this blockage so we can hopefully begin the next journey as parents. June 4th, 2021 Josh was able to have surgery in hopes to repair the blockage, however surgery was not a success. We are now needing to save up the funds for IVF which will cost $15,000.00.  We are mortified to be asking for help. We are living in a time that it is so hard on so many individuals. But, because we are fighting against a clock we do not have time to be ashamed of needing help if this may give us the opportunity to become parents and give our future child every possibility. We will be so thankful for any help monetarily, but we understand times are hard, so if you can only contribute positive thoughts and prayers we will be forever grateful for those as well.  We are thrilled to start our journey and cannot wait to share our update of success with you all.
