This fundraiser is for my sister, Shila and her loving husband, Stephen. I have the amazing opportunity to be Shila's younger sister and she is one of my best friends. I have been lucky to watch her experience many milestones in her life: graduating highschool, then college; finding a rewarding career in being a program director for a web and graphic design program at a technical college, and most amazingly, finding the absolute love of her life. When my sister found Stephen, I had never before seen my sister so happy, and he treats her better than gold. I have seen how my sister and her husband dote and love their niece and nephews, but have never had the joy of raising children of their own despite years of hoping. My sister has recently become eligible for IVF and this fundraiser is the chance to grow the loving family they have always dreamed of.
