Kevin and Rachel met and were married in 2022. They spent a couple of years enjoying life as a family of two, but they have always dreamed of becoming parents. In July of 2024, they officially started their journey to conceive. Unfortunately, things did not go according to plan. After six months of trying ovulation medications, they sought help from STL Fertility. Following thorough medical testing and consideration, they decided to try Intrauterine Insemination (IUI).
After three unsuccessful IUI cycles alongside four months of acupuncture, they decided to take a short break to reset. Next, they made their first attempt at In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). A week into stimulation medications, they faced a minor setback and had to pause due to an ovarian cyst and a lack of follicle growth.Thankfully, their second round of stimulation meds went much better. Everything looked highly promising on paper...Rachel had high estrogen levels and 7-10 mature egg follicles.
However, on the day of egg retrieval, they received devastating news. The egg follicles were empty except for two, and only one of those was mature. While it fertilized normally, it sadly did not make it to the blastocyst stage.Rachel and Kevin have both dreamed of becoming parents since they were little. Their doctor at STL Fertility has already created a strategic medical plan for their next attempt at IVF, but they need help making this dream a reality.
While a portion of the upcoming IVF cycle has already been paid for, they still need to raise the remaining balance and secure funds to pay for the necessary medications.Any contribution—no matter the size—brings them one step closer to holding their miracle baby. Please consider donating and sharing their story to help make their dream of parenthood a reality!
