Journey to Baby Parris

Thank you for considering helping us on our path to become parents! Our story is one that we never imagined playing the lead roles in. After a combined diagnosis of autoimmune issues/an inherited blood clotting disorder/several losses, we learned that Meredith cannot safely carry a pregnancy to term. For this reason, we are pursuing a gestational carrier to safely bring a baby home. We have also been homestudy approved for adoption since May 2022. We have been anxiously awaiting a phone call that we have matched with a birth mom since that time. We have no idea how this journey will play out, and we have no idea in what order. The costs associated with adoption and surrogacy are both very high. We are both so fortunate to have good jobs, but the costs of these family building paths are prohibitive. We have had to humble ourselves to share our story and ask for support. If you are able to contribute to our path to becoming parents, we would be so grateful.
