I've been wanting to be a mother for over 10 years but with every relationship there was no success in becoming a mom. My most recent relationship we tried for 3 years with testing and timed ovulation with no success. My last relationship ending up being pretty abusive and now I am doing this solo. Since my doctor told me that IVF was my best and probably my only option at being a mom I have been saving every dime that I could to be able to afford IVF. Unfortunately I am still pretty far off and I am now 42 years old. Even with what little I can use from my retirement I am pretty far from reaching my goal. I am trying every avenue I can think of to come up with the funds or find employment that offers fertility benefits (which are far and few between in Nebraska). But I keep trying and try to stay positive. The funds would help cover the remaining money needed to complete and pay for: IVF, medications (which are crazy expensive), testing/monitoring, etc. If anyone can help it would mean the world to me. Every little bit helps, even $1, or $5, or $20. Fighting this struggle against infertility is so heartbreaking when all you want to do is be a mother. To hold that baby in your arms. To watch them grow. To help them with homework. Participate in school functions. To see them develop into the person they were meant to be. To be there when they are sad. To help them through life. I will keep working to reach my goal, but any help is greatly appreciated.
