Our journey to build a family has been a quiet, deeply personal testament to patience, hope, and resilience. For the last several years, my spouse who is a veteran and I have poured our hearts into trying to conceive at home. We meticulously tracked my basal body temperature, mapped out my menstrual cycles, and celebrated every sign of a peak window. Yet, cycle after cycle of at-home insemination left us with an empty nursery. It wasn't until receiving a medical diagnosis of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) that the pieces of our struggle finally fit together. While watching years pass has taken an immense emotional toll, understanding this medical hurdle has only solidified our profound desire to become parents. Recognizing that we have exhausted our independent options, we are now taking the courageous step to transition into clinical care. However, stepping across the threshold of a fertility clinic introduces a new, overwhelming barrier: the financial burden. Because we face this journey without insurance coverage for fertility treatments, every medical test, consultation, and upcoming ultrasound must be paid entirely out of pocket.We are fully committed to doing whatever it takes to welcome our child, beginning with Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) clinical cycles tailored to navigate my PCOS. We are a loving, stable, married couple ready to give a child a beautiful life, but the steep financial climb of clinical care threatens to delay our dream.
