Hello, my name is Laura. I was diagnosed with a chordoma tumor back in 2016 at age 22. That tumor was pushing against my pituitary gland, which the gland is in charge of producing all the fertility hormones. Hormones such as FSH, LH, estrogen, progesterone, cortisone, and HCG. I had to have surgery and radiation treatment, the radiation treatment damaged my pituitary gland. So my body is not producing these natural hormones. I made sure to see a fertility specialist before starting cancer treatment and I was informed that I wouldn't have any issues becoming pregnant in the future. I had a high egg count at that time, fast forward to 2021. Trying to get pregnant and it turns out that we cannot get pregnant naturally and my egg count drastically went down. Our option is to do IVF becaus, we need help financially to get this show on the road. Anything helps and is a blessing to us.
