There are journeys in life that no one truly understands until they have walked them themselves. For me, that journey was IVF, a path filled with hope, heartbreak, resilience, and an unwavering belief that one day, my dream of becoming a Mom would come true. When I first began IVF I dreamt of a future of creating my own family. Like so many others, I imagined that IVF would simply be the path I took to become a parent. Unfortunately the try wasn't successful for me. I had two fertilized embryos and sadly neither made it. Those were the only eggs that I had available and now I find myself with a great need to make my dreams of becoming a Mom come true. I now find myself wanting to prepare for another IVF journey. Choosing to continue isn't because the road has been easy—it's because the dream is still worth fighting for. One of the biggest obstacles I now face is the financial cost of IVF or other fertility options. Fertility treatment is incredibly expensive, and not covered by my insurance. Starting this journey over on my own has made these expenses even more overwhelming. Help is a wonderful gift, a life changing gift. Thank you for taking the time to read my story, for believing in me, and for helping me continue this journey. Your compassion gives me hope that dreams can still come true, even after life's most difficult chapters.
How we'll use the funds: The grant would be used to cover medication cost, embryo transfer costs for my own IVF try or I would use the grant to cover the cost of donor eggs and embryo transfer costs at my fertility treatment center.
