My name is Stephany, and I have been diagnosed with Diminished Ovarian Reserve. My ovary function is that of someone close to menopause, and my egg quality is subpar. My husband, Matthew, has been diagnosed with male infertility and is currently taking medication to help increase his counts. We have completed (2) rounds of IVF egg retrievals with only (1) genetically normal embryo that is now frozen. I have maxed out my insurance benefits, and we are now looking at having to pay for everything out of pocket. Becoming a parent means everything to us. We have taken the steps we felt were necessary prior to family building -- marriage, buying a house, having financially stable jobs, etc. Unfortunately, we did not plan on having to pay so much money toward unexpected fertility treatments.
