New Leaf On The Maple Tree

Hello there! We are Christina and Kadejah Maple. We’re hoping to grow our family—or, as we like to say, add a new leaf to the Maple Tree.

I’m a nurse, and my wife, Kadejah, is a Navy veteran now serving our community as an EMT and firefighter. Every day, we’re reminded of the beauty of family, whether it's a parent rushing to protect their child or a child lovingly bringing in their parent for care. These everyday moments reinforce something we’ve always known: We are meant to be parents, too.

As a same-sex couple, our path to parenthood looks a little different, and we’re preparing to begin fertility treatments to help make our dream a reality. We’ve chosen to pursue Reciprocal IVF, a beautiful process allowing both of us to participate. Kadejah will provide the eggs, and I will carry the pregnancy.

We’re incredibly excited (and a little nervous!) to start this journey, but like many families pursuing fertility treatment, we’re also facing the financial burden that comes with it. IVF can be very costly, so we’re reaching out with open hearts and asking for help from our community.

Any donation, regardless of size, brings us closer to holding our baby in our arms. We are deeply grateful for your support, kindness, and for taking the time to read our story.
