Hello! My name is Nichole! I am fundraising for fertility treatments. I am a small bowel transplant survivor. I had my transplant on 09/11/2019 ( two days after my 24th birthday) at UPMC in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. I had a desmoid tumor removed from my intestines and it caused so much damage. Due to the amount of damage, transplant of the colon, small and large intestines was the only way for me to live. I am almost five years post transplant and I am doing great! My husband and I have adopted my niece and nephew in 2020 & 2021. We are a family of four and we are wanting to expand our family but due to the amount of surgeries I have had, my Fallopian tubes are very badly damaged and I will have them removed this summer. I have been cleared by my transplant team at UPMC and my OBGYN to start the fertility treatments. I have also found CNY in Florida to help with our journey! I know! Exciting!! We are very happy and blessed! God has helped us in every way possible.. I have learned how to live life again, blessed! Anything is a blessing no matter if it’s big or small! Even a prayer sent is a gift!
