Our journey so far: My name is Nicole and I am starting this fundraiser to help my husband Brett and I fulfill our hopes of becoming parents. I was diagnosed with 1b1 cervical cancer in July of 2024, 3 months before our wedding date. My oncologist recommended a surgery to remove the tumor that would be fertility preserving since he knew our desire to start a family. I had a radical trachelectomy in August of 2024 that successfully removed all the cancer, and I have been in remission since. I am so grateful for that, however we have since had obstacles and struggles with conceiving naturally. I have since undergone 2 additional surgeries/procedures to help us try and conceive naturally or with IUI however both have failed. My fertility specialists believe that IVF is the best option for us and will allow us to continue this journey into parenthood. What this would mean to us: This would mean the world to us! We have been through so much these past couple of years, especially right after starting our new journey as a married couple. Brett and I have been together 12 years and are looking forward to many more healthy years together with such high hopes of a miracle baby!
