My Dear Friends, I come to you today with a personal request. I have been diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve, which will make conceiving a child naturally very challenging. As a woman in my early 40's this affects approximately 25-30% of women my age. It was heartbreaking news to receive, as becoming a mother has been my deepest desire. Over the past five years, I have poured my heart and soul into trying to start a family. My efforts have been met with recurring disappointment each month. I have faced this struggle privately up until now. Seeking the advice of fertility specialists, I have learned IVF is the best option for me to finally fulfill my dream of having a baby.
