Our Journey to Parenthood My husband and I got married when I was 40. I was blessed to have children from a previous relationship, but my husband has never had the opportunity to experience the joy of becoming a father. From the beginning of our marriage, having a child together has been one of our greatest hopes and dreams. We have been trying to grow our family for several years, but our journey has been filled with heartbreak. We have experienced three pregnancies, and sadly, all three ended in miscarriage. Our last miscarriage was in 2022, and the loss took a tremendous emotional toll on both of us. We needed time apart to heal from the pain, but ultimately found our way back to each other and continued to hold onto our dream of having a child together. Since our last pregnancy, we have continued trying to conceive and praying for a healthy pregnancy and a baby to bring home. Despite our efforts, it simply hasn't happened. Our doctors have told us that everything looks fine and encouraged us to keep trying, but after everything we've experienced and the time that has passed, we feel that IVF with donor eggs may be the path that gives us our best chance at having a healthy baby together. This has not been an easy decision. IVF is an enormous financial and emotional commitment, but after countless prayers, tears, and conversations, I feel in my heart that this is the path God is leading us toward. We are putting our faith in Him and taking this next step with hope. We are humbly asking for help as we pursue this dream. We know that building our family may look different from what we originally imagined, but our hope remains the same: to experience the joy of raising a child together and to give that child a home filled with love.
