Our Story ❤️ If you know me and Cliff, you know our story hasn’t exactly been the most traditional one. We actually cared about each other enough to have one of the hardest conversations imaginable the first time around. When Cliff and I were together before, he had a very strong desire to become a biological father. At the time, I already knew that because of my hysterectomy, I would never be able to carry another child myself. As much as we cared for each other, neither of us knew how to reconcile those two realities. It ultimately became the reason we broke up. But even after we went our separate ways, the feelings between us never really disappeared. We never stopped caring about each other, and we never truly forgot what we had. Over time, we started talking again and realized that maybe the future we both wanted wasn’t impossible after all. We found a possible solution to the one thing that had once seemed like it would keep us apart — IVF using my own eggs and a gestational surrogate. We didn’t have to have all the answers, and we didn’t need to say everything out loud. We just knew that what we had was still there, and that we wanted to give us another chance. So we chose each other, chose to take that leap, and on June 16, 2026, we made it official and became husband and wife. ❤️ Now we’re standing at the beginning of a journey we never imagined we’d have to take, but one that means absolutely everything to us. One of our biggest dreams is to have a baby together. I still have my ovaries and the possibility of using my own eggs, but because I no longer have a uterus, I cannot carry the pregnancy myself. That means our path to becoming parents together will involve IVF and a gestational surrogate. And honestly, the road ahead feels exciting, overwhelming, scary, and hopeful all at once. We’ve learned that IVF and surrogacy are incredibly expensive, and unfortunately, our insurance does not cover the process. So, as hard as it is for us to ask, we’ve decided to put our pride aside and ask for a little help. We know everyone has their own expenses and responsibilities, and we never expect anyone to donate. But if you feel led to contribute, even a small amount would mean more to us than we could ever explain. And if you can’t donate, sharing our story, praying for us, cheering us on, or simply keeping us in your thoughts means just as much. ❤️ We aren’t asking anyone to make our dream happen for us. We’re simply asking for a little help as we take this leap of faith toward the family we once thought might never be possible.
