Ever since I was a little girl, I've had one dream that has always meant more to me than anything else in the world: becoming a mom. When people would ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer was always the same. I wanted to be a mom. To me, motherhood has always been one of the most magical and beautiful things in the world. The thought of loving, nurturing, and raising a little human of my own has been something I've carried in my heart for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately, at just 16 years old, my dream of becoming a mother took a heartbreaking turn. I was diagnosed with a medical condition that would change my life forever. Doctors discovered precancerous cells, and I had to undergo a full hysterectomy. Sadly, none of my reproductive organs could be saved. At an age when most girls were just beginning to imagine what their futures might look like, I was being told that the future I had always dreamed of would never happen the way I had imagined. But even though my path to motherhood had changed, my dream of becoming a mom never did. Fast-forward to today, and I am lucky enough to share my life with an incredible man who has been by my side for almost seven years. We've been married for just over a year and a half, and together we've built a beautiful little life filled with love, laughter, and our two very loved bulldogs. Our home is already filled with so much love, but we both know there's something missing. We cannot wait for the day when we get to welcome a little one into our family. And now, we're finally taking steps toward making that dream a reality. My husband and I are beginning our journey through IVF and surrogacy, and we are incredibly fortunate to have someone very special helping us along the way. My best friend has offered to donate her eggs to help us become parents. It's a gift so selfless and beautiful that I don't think I'll ever find the right words to express how much it means to us. Knowing that someone loves us enough to help give us the opportunity to have a family is something we will cherish forever. Although we have been given this incredible gift, our journey is still far from simple. IVF and surrogacy come with significant medical, legal, and other expenses, and the financial side of this process is one of the biggest obstacles standing between us and our dream. That is why we've decided to share our story and ask for a little help. Asking for help isn't always easy, especially for something so personal. But if there is one thing I've learned, it's that sometimes the most beautiful things in life take a village. We aren't asking for anything extravagant. We're simply hoping for the chance to experience the little moments that so many people dream of: hearing our baby's first laugh, watching their first steps, celebrating birthdays, creating family traditions, and hearing someone call us Mom and Dad. I have spent so much of my life dreaming of becoming a mother, and now we are doing everything we can to make that dream come true.
