My name is Kyara Squirewell, and I am 33 years old, living in Temple Hills, MD. My journey towards motherhood has been a challenging one, filled with emotional and financial hurdles, but my desire to become a parent has never wavered. From the time I was just 10 years old, I began my cycle, but no one understood the abnormal bleeding I was experiencing. It took years of seeking answers, and ultimately, I was diagnosed with endometriosis and fibroids, along with cysts. While I had some of the cysts removed, the fibroids remain close to my uterine line, posing a risk of internal bleeding. I have faced multiple obstacles trying to get the medical help I need, and after much struggle, the removal finally happened. Unfortunately, I have also been dealing with severe nerve damage, which complicates my journey even further. Given these difficulties, I have decided to pursue IVF as a more straightforward path to parenthood. Every day, I think about my late grandmother, who played a significant role in my life. She taught me the values of love and caring for others, especially when I spent time babysitting my cousins. I miss her deeply, and sometimes I feel like I’m navigating this path alone without her guidance. As the only child in my family, I long for the love and connection that comes from nurturing and raising a child. It feels like an essential part of who I am. Applying for this grant means more to me than just financial assistance; it represents a chance to fulfill a lifelong dream. Becoming a mother is something I have yearned for since I turned 25, a time when I had completed my college degree, found stable employment, and had my own vehicle. I envisioned building a family and sharing a life filled with love and joy. This opportunity symbolizes hope and the possibility of finally holding a child who loves me more than anyone can imagine. With the support this grant could provide, I see a future where I can travel, share my experiences, and feel the warmth of companionship. I am eager to embrace motherhood, to create memories, and to pass on the love and lessons I learned from my grandmother. I am ready to give my heart to a child, and I truly believe that this journey will not only complete me but also honor the legacy of love that my grandmother instilled in me. I also have my bachelors Degree in Web Design & Digital Media, along with my Masters Degree in Cybersecurity and back in school for Project Management.
