Hi! We’re so happy you’re here! 🫶 We’re Joey and Jess, and we’re hoping to adopt! We met in high school and have always been drawn back to each other over the years. We’ve been happily married for five wonderful years now! Our home in North Carolina is full of love, laughter, and a bit of chaos thanks to our three incredible dogs, Nala, Simba, and Marley. We love cooking up delicious meals, soaking up the sun at the beach, and discovering new places together! Joey and I share a deep connection and have overcome distance and obstacles to build a strong, loving relationship and a nurturing environment for a family. Our journey hasn’t been without challenges, including infertility and my struggles with endometriosis. But adoption has always been on our hearts, and we have so much love to give! Growing up, we both experienced the warmth and love of close-knit families. Our childhoods were filled with cherished memories, from family outings to bonding moments with extended family and friends who felt like family. We want to give our future child those same beautiful experiences and create a lifetime of joyful memories! Since December 2023, we have been home study approved to adopt a single child or twins, from birth to 12 months of age, and we are beyond ready to welcome our miracle! You might be surprised to learn that adoption-related costs can total $50,000-$65,000 or more. We’ve already invested thousands in background checks, fingerprinting, application fees, agency fees, home study fees, medical evaluations, adoption education, a consultant, and grant applications (though we haven’t received any grants yet). Despite this, we still have a long way to go! While it may be uncomfortable for us to ask for help, we are committed to doing everything we can to bring our baby home! Many have reminded us that those who love us will want to support us and walk through this journey with us in any way they can. This is why we have set a goal of $10,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. Your contribution, no matter the size, will help us bring our future child home and provide them with a life full of love and care!
