My name is Eunice and I was diagnosed with Lupus (also called: SLE, systemic lupus erythematosus) which is an illness that occurs when the immune system attacks healthy tissues and organs. I found out about my diagnosis while I was serving in the US ARMY in 2012. I was told if I planned on getting pregnant, my pregnancy would automatically be considered high risk. I haven’t tried conceiving up until two years ago and still haven’t been successful with my fiancé. I was adopted and all I have ever wanted is a family of my own. Because of my lupus diagnosis, I need to have extra testing done. One of which is genetic testing so I can get ready for IVF. I don’t know much about my biological family, so I want to take all precautions to make sure that I not only have a healthy pregnancy, but a healthy baby. Anything will be appreciated. Either way, I’m grateful for you taking the time to read my story on my journey to our little miracle baby.
