Hi there and thanks for visiting our page! John and I have always dreamed of becoming parents and are reaching out for your help. We met in 2019 and fell in love over our shared faith, love for music, and our quirky senses of humor, and we married on what we lovingly call “COVID Eve” in March 2020. We've been trying to grow our family ever since. We’ve always been committed to giving back—me through my work as a climate and social justice organizer and John through his role as a special-ed teacher and summer camp director. We’ve devoted ourselves to our community and our churches, but despite our dedication and the support of our wonderful families, our journey to parenthood has been filled with heartache. Over the past four and a half years, we’ve faced countless challenges with fertility treatments (including spending thousands of dollars) and endured a heartbreaking miscarriage last year. We’ve now reached a point where we can pursue one last, but expensive, fertility option that offers us the best chance to have a healthy baby. This treatment costs $18,000, not including preliminary testing and fertility drugs. (And as nonprofit workers, this is just out of our reach.) That's why we’re turning to our community for support to help make this dream a reality. Every donation, no matter the size, will bring us one step closer to our goal. Grant application

We are saddened to share that we did not get either of the grants that we applied for. We are still hopeful and confident that we will be able to move forward with the funds we have received so far from friends and family. Thank you for your continued support!
