As Hannah cried out to God for a child in 1 Samuel, so, too, have Jessica and Andy been praying for and crying out for a child of their own for over three years. Friends, family, and loved ones of Jessica and Andy, I’m setting this fundraiser up for them, two of the most selfless and humble people I’ve ever known. They have been through countless tests, procedures, and examinations, and they’ve gone through four failed IUIs. Jessica’s diagnosis is “unexplained fertility,” giving them a 3% chance of conceiving naturally, and IVF is the next step in their fertility journey. Jessica and Andy have dedicated their lives to serving others, specifically children. Andy, a former youth pastor, now serves as the director of Next Generation Ministries at the Hope Center, a faith-based nonprofit. Jessica was a former high school teacher who is now a Youth Engagement Specialist at the Columbus Library. They give up hours and days of their time serving others in a professional and volunteer capacity, and they have been praying for years for a child of their own. They love my kids as if they were their own, and they long to give their own children this love. Jessica and Andy deserve a baby more than anyone I know, so I’m setting up this fundraiser for them to help them reach their dream of having a child via IVF. This child is already so loved and is being prayed over by so many people who love them. Please consider donating to help them afford IVF.
