Moving on to Surrogacy
August 14, 2023(edited)
After one successful egg retrieval in May 2022, they had 3 normal embryos. Elated by this news, they quickly scheduled their first Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET), in June! The agonizing two-week wait had become all too familiar, and they tried keeping themselves busy. Saddened by the news of their first unsuccessful transfer, the two had a short time to grieve before trying a second FET in July. IVF moves quickly, it doesn\\\\'t always go as planned, and the schedule you had wished for is not always the reality. After their second failed transfer, they decided to take a break. On top of months of medication, hormones, and grief, they both needed time to heal their hearts. Throughout this journey, they both heavily leaned on the love and support of their family, friends, and therapists. Infertility is unpredictable, but the love from their circle stayed constant. One particular person walked alongside them faithfully; Jared\\\\'s sister Alexa. She walked alongside them so faithfully, that she offered to be their gestational carrier (GC). Miranda and Jared have been overjoyed with such a gracious and selfless offer, and now they begin their surrogacy journey! We can not express the love and gratitude we have for our sweet sister for this offer and a chance at parenthood. All money raised will go toward costs associated with our surrogacy journey. Thank you for reading our story, and being a part of our journey! Love, Miranda and Jared XOXOXO
