Nick and I met online and from the first message i knew he was my person. Like many couples we started out with hope. Months went by and little by little the excitement started to fade and doubt crept in. At the end of October 2025 the fear turned into reality when a test came back positive but followed by a loss shortly after. This was the third loss many doubts and a mind full of why's. I am blessed enough to work at a fertility clinic so i knew it was time to start asking the hard questions. So after some testing i found out not only on top of my existing autoimmune disease i tested positive for APS ( lupus anticoagulant and anticardiolipin) which explained my history of loss and pregnancy related problems as well as low egg reserve. My partner also showed positive for male oligozoospermia and asthenozoospermia so IUI is not an option for us IVF is our best chance at a successful pregnancy and birth. We are working close with MFM and doctors that have come up with a treatment plan but in the meantime we are going on hope that we will be able to be fortunate enough to do IVF and welcome a healthy baby into our growing family.
