We have been trying to conceive since October 2022. I thought I was fine. I would get my menses regularly. We checked his men, and they were swimming fine. I took letrozole, Clomid, and I was on and off these medications and nothing. And so we went further into the fertility and found through my Fem vue that I had blocked tubes, which mean I had to get further investigation. And at that point, we were given the option of IVF, but we don't have the finances, and I was also wondering what was going on with my body. So yesterday we did the laparoscopic, and I was in and out of anesthesia and all kinds of medications, but I did hear Dr. Ransom tell my husband essentially IVF is going to be our only option for us to conceive. And I just felt defeated. I felt like my body has betrayed me and somehow a little less than a woman. I don't want to put us in bankruptcy trying to have a child, as much as we desire a child. And if all we can afford is one with this grant's help I really hope it takes. How we'll use the funds: MY insurance covers some medications but the ivf procedure is not covered
