Their story

Update 2/1/23: We have modified the fundraiser to include only the initial cost of beginning our journey.  We are beyond grateful at all the support thus far, and we hope this will allow us to start sooner!  Thank you again! Wendy and Andrew have wanted kids since before we met, and we both have careers working with children. Wendy has a genetic disorder known as Turner's Syndrome, which makes her unable to produce eggs nor carry a pregnancy. We have spent our entire adult life and parts of our adolescent year, helping other people's children to grow, but we have been unable to raise children of our own. Our insurance has benefits for IVF, but since we need an egg donor and surrogate, we are not eligible, which means the cost can easily exceed a year's salary (even close to double). By working with an agency that works in Mexico, we have brought it down to an amount close to one year's salary, but we still need help. Please help us fulfill our lifelong wish.
