Hello, my name is April Smith. My husband and I are high school sweethearts, which we have been together for 13 years, married for 6 years this year. We have been tying to conceive since 2016. I've undergone two HSG (very painful) to determine if my Fallopian tubes were blocked, which they were. I took clomid (3 levels) for the past year, paying $250 pee month for a ultrasound, due to good insurance that doesn't cover infertility. From my doctor appointments, they determined I was able to produce my own eggs, measuring approximately 22mm. I've also undergone two surgeries and several unsuccessful procedures that were costly. I am a high school teacher who loves children and volunteers a lot of my time helping needy families and other events that support children in surrounding counties. I've been told by my OBGYN that IVF is my only option of motherhood and carrying my own child, something every women should experience. Both IVF & adoption is expensive. I know there are so many families who desire the same thing and need financial support. Therefore, I am asking for any financial support whether it's $1 or $5 to go towards IVF. I pray that God's plan is to allow me to become a Mom. We have 4 God-children that we love dearly and spend a lot of time with. Furthermore, students we have supported, along with their families. We've giving so much and tried so many programs that provide financial support. Even if you are not able to give financially, we ask for your prayers throughout our journey to save for IVF.
