After two years of trying to grow our family, we have made the difficult decision to share our journey publicly. It has been a humbling and distressing experience, but we are excited to announce that we are taking the IVF route to bring home Baby Jackson.

The past two years have been filled with heartache and countless obstacles. In 2018, I faced a devastating loss when I had an ovarian contortion that resulted in the loss of my last fallopian tube and one of my ovaries. I also suffered a miscarriage at 18 weeks, which brought unimaginable pain and profound sadness. However, amidst the darkness, I found love and married Jeffrey Jackson on July 4, 2021. It became clear to us that we would need assistance in conceiving due to my previous complications.

At the beginning of 2023, we embarked on our journey with CFI (Carolina Fertility Institute) to start our family. However, the cost of the IVF (In vitro fertilization) cycle proved to be overwhelming and out of our reach. The past few months have been an emotional rollercoaster, filled with tests, biopsies, and countless tears. But in July, we started over with Duke Fertility, and we are now just weeks away from beginning our first IVF cycle.

While we are fortunate to have some insurance coverage, there are still significant expenses that we must cover out of pocket. IVF medications, anesthesia, embryo storage, and testing are all necessary costs that are not covered by insurance. This financial burden weighs heavily on us.

We are reaching out to you, not only to ask for your prayers but also for any financial support you may be able to provide. We recently came across a blog post that reminded us of the power of prayer. It is not because we believe others' prayers are more effective, but because the weight of this journey is too much for us to carry alone. We long for the support, unity, and strength that prayer brings.

Our ultimate desire is to bring a child of our own into this world, and we know that the road ahead will not be easy. However, we are filled with hope and faith. We believe that with the love and support of our community, we can overcome the financial barriers that stand in our way.
