Hi all!
My name is Jennifer and I am married to the best man in the world, Charles. We have been together for 6 years, married for 2 years. I am a pediatric SLP and my husband is a high school Biology teacher and football coach. We love being around the kids that we work with on the daily but are ready to begin our own family. We began our "not trying, not preventing" journey last summer, but that quickly became actively preventing when we received my husband's unexpected diagnosis. My husband was diagnosed with a genetic mutation, NF1. It has some pretty significant health complications that can arise, but every case is different. Thankfully my husband has not presented with any significant health complications at this point. Due to this diagnosis, we decided that IVF would be the best option to ensure we do not pass this on to our children and gamble that they would have a mild presentation like my husband does. We are truly ready to begin our family, but the monetary aspect is just heartbreaking. Our insurance covers only a sliver of the overall cost and does not cover the additional genetic testing that we will need to complete with the biopsy of our embryos.
Any donations that you provide would mean the absolute world to us.
Love,
The Rosenthals
