Hi, our names are Joe and Nae. This past year has been one for the books! We buried two children within seven months. We lost both children due to our water breaking in the beginning of the second trimester causing us to go into labor early. This trial has been a test of faith, but we look forward to sharing our TESTIMONY of faith!
As we prepare for this experience we are asking for your help. Our future pregnancies have been labeled high risk due to our recurring history of PROM.PPROM is a high risk for premature birth, although when cared for by talented maternal fetal medicine specialists, often results in a healthy baby who may need special care in the NICU depending on how premature it is.
PROM occurs in approximately 10% of pregnancies. Patients with PROM present with leakage of fluid, vaginal discharge, vaginal bleeding, and pelvic pressure, but they are not having contractions. We have worked with specialty doctors and have established a plan of action proven to work for other women with a history like ours.
The plan is for Nae to be on bedrest for the duration of the pregnancy, undergo a medical procedure (cervical cerclage), take medications and weekly monitoring by two specialty doctors. We are praying that these efforts result in a safe, healthy pregnancy and delivery. We are asking that you help relieve some of the financial burden of medical expenses. Give whatever your heart desires. No amount is too small and every little bit helps! We thank you again for your help in establishing our family!
