Hi! We are Trenton and Yesenia Prickett. We have been happily married for five years.
When we got married, we knew we could not wait to have children, so we never prevented pregnancy. When we did not conceive right away, we thought that in God’s timing, we would be parents one day. After a few years of being married, we knew something wasn't right since we weren't conceiving on our own. Realizing we were going to need help, we finally reached out to a fertility specialist.
After many tests, we were told that we have medical issues that prevent us from doing this on our own. IVF is our only chance to have the baby we so desperately want. I knew that I wanted to be a mother at a very young age and always gravitated towards all the babies in our family. At family gatherings you could always find me with a baby attached to my hip. Now at 34 years old my husband and I would love to have a blessing of our own.
We both love children so very much and enjoy being with our family. Seeing our family enjoy their children is such a special feeling; a feeling we want to have ourselves. We feel we are missing out on the greatest gift of life – the gift of parenthood.
The question "When are you guys having kids?" carries so much weight for us. We were hesitant to share our story because it is so personal. We decided to be open about our journey in the hopes that it can encourage others who are also struggling with infertility, as well as gain any support or advice that would help us throughout this process.
We humbly thank you in advance, please feel free to share.
