We’re Valerie and Chris, and we’re hoping to have a child together. Sharing something this personal isn’t easy, but we want to share our story and ask for support as we take the next steps toward fertility treatment. Our journey so far I’m 35, approaching 36, and having a child with my husband is something I deeply hope for. I have completed fertility testing, including AMH testing and an ultrasound showing an antral follicle count of 3. We’re seeking specialist guidance to understand what these results mean for our treatment options and how to move forward. Chris also needs further fertility evaluation. Together, we’re working toward getting answers and finding a treatment plan that addresses both of our needs. Depending on our specialists’ recommendations, that may include IVF and a sperm retrieval procedure. There is still uncertainty ahead. We don’t yet know exactly what treatment will involve, how much it will cost, or what the outcome will be. We’re taking this one step at a time, but the emotional weight of wanting a child while facing these unanswered questions has been difficult. What this would mean to us We love the family we already have, and we hope to welcome a child together. For me, this dream includes experiencing pregnancy, meeting our baby, and sharing the everyday moments of raising a child with Chris from the first time we hold them to bedtime stories, little milestones, and watching their personality grow. It’s hard to put into words what it feels like to hope for those moments while wondering whether they will happen. Some days, I feel hopeful about moving forward. Other days, the uncertainty brings sadness and worry. Through it all, this remains something that means so much to us. We understand that fertility treatment cannot promise us a baby. What we’re hoping for is the opportunity to pursue the care our specialists recommend and give this dream a chance. What your support covers Funds raised will help with fertility consultations, additional testing for both of us, medications, monitoring appointments, and IVF or other treatment recommended by our specialists. If sperm retrieval is needed, support may also help cover that procedure and related care. We may need to travel outside Wichita, Kansas, for specialist appointments and treatment. Funds may therefore also help with transportation and lodging when necessary. As we receive recommendations and cost estimates, we’ll have a clearer understanding of the expenses ahead. Our goal is to use the funds toward the medical care and related travel needed to move forward, and we plan to share updates as our journey progresses. Asking for help is a vulnerable step, especially for something so personal. But fertility care comes with expenses that can be difficult to manage, and support would help us turn our hope into appointments, answers, and the next steps in treatment.
