We are Michelle (40) and Peter (39), and our journey to parenthood has been marked by hope, heartbreak, and resilience. We never imagined having to explore this avenue to expand our family, but as life unfolded in unexpected ways, we’ve come to believe deeply in the power of community, support, and second chances.
Throughout this process, we have learned that parenthood isn’t only about biology or pregnancy — it’s about commitment, love, and showing up, even when it’s hard. We have shown up for each other, time and time again. We have held each others hand through countless procedures, comforted each other in our darkest moments, and reminded each other every day that we’re in this together.
The decision to pursue surrogacy was not made lightly. We’ve always believed in working hard and handling our responsibilities with grace and determination, but we also recognize that there is strength in admitting you can’t do everything yourself. Even more than that, it gives us hope — not just in our own journey, but in the idea that compassion and generosity can help create families.
From Michelle: From a very young age, I knew I was meant to be a Mom and our path to get there has been anything but easy.
From Peter: We can't wait to share bedtime stories, family vacations, playground outings, and all of lifes milestones that lie ahead.
More importantly, we are excited for the chance to pass on the values that have carried us this far: resilience, empathy, and gratitude and family. We are ready — emotionally, relationally, and practically. All that remains is the chance.
