My name is Krista and I have PCOS. PCOS stands for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, but it is essentially a reproductive hormonal condition with many symptoms that directly effect a woman's ability to conceive (naturally or with IVF). 1 in 5 women are diagnosed with this condition. I have been trying to get pregnant since 2017. I have attempted to get pregnant by IUI and IVF with the help of a fertility specialist. Through these processes, I have suffered 4 miscarriages which has been emotionally and mentally exhausting as well as financially draining, but I am still holding on to hope that one day I will have a healthy, strong pregnancy. We will be starting our second round of IVF this spring and hoping for our rainbow miracle baby and a chance to make our sweet son, Nolan, a big brother!
This fundraiser is for the fertility medication needed for the IVF process. Step 1 is egg retrieval and Step 2 is embryo transfer, all of which require multiple, expensive medications from a specialty pharmacy - none of which are covered by insurance. The funds received would go directly to the payment of these special medications.
We are hopeful that this journey will lead to a healthy pregnancy and the future birth of our second child. Any support you can give will be greatly appreciated and welcomed.
