Charley and I are both nurses here in Phoenix. Between our busy work schedules, there weren't many opportunities to start our family. I found out I was pregnant in November 2019. A few months later, we were told our daughter wouldn’t make it to her due date. After a devastating pregnancy loss in early 2020, our path to parenthood has been nothing but hills to climb. We have spent many months trying to conceive on our own, then three medicated cycles failed. We started IUIs with a fertility doctor. The first IUI ended with a miscarriage. The following two IUIs failed. The week of what would’ve been our daughter’s first birthday, we were told IVF would be our only choice in having a child of our own. We have done one full IVF cycle where we got two embryos and transferred one, which resulted in a miscarriage. Prior to transferring our last embryo, we did one more egg retrieval and got one embryo that made it to biopsy day (currently waiting for those results). Then I had surgery to remove a septum in my uterus. And now we anxiously await for my recovery and hope we can do another transfer soon. Thank you so much for your love and support!
