Acceptable verification documents for payouts
Before you can receive payouts, Stripe, our secure payments partner, verifies your identity. This happens inside Stripe's onboarding flow when you connect your bank account from your Withdrawals page.
You upload documents directly to Stripe, never to Gift of Parenthood. We never see or store your identity documents, and Stripe's flow will tell you exactly what it needs for your country.
Documents Stripe accepts in the US
- Passport (preferred)
- Passport card
- Driver license
- State issued ID card
- Resident permit ID or U.S. Green Card
- Border crossing card
- Child ID card
- NYC card
- U.S. visa
Some documents, like a driver license or state ID card, require photos of both the front and the back. Acceptable documents vary by country, but a passport is always acceptable and is the smoothest option.
Tips for a quick approval
- Use a current document that has not expired.
- Take the photo in good lighting so every field is readable.
- Capture the whole document, with all four corners visible.
- Upload a color photo, not a black and white scan.
If Stripe needs more from you
If verification is still open, the Bank Account card on your Withdrawals page will show Onboarding Incomplete. Select Complete Setup to return to Stripe and provide whatever is missing. Once everything checks out, the card shows Bank Account Connected and you are ready to request withdrawals.
