Tips for gaining more exposure for your fundraiser
Donations follow attention, and attention follows sharing. Here are the habits that help fundraisers on Gift of Parenthood get seen by more people.
1. Put a face on your account
Upload a clear profile photo of yourself so friends, family, and everyone you share with can instantly recognize who is asking. Go to your Profile and select Upload Photo. A personalized fundraiser feels trustworthy, and trust is what turns visitors into donors.
2. Give your fundraiser a great cover photo
A warm, clear photo of you or your family does more work than any paragraph. To add or swap yours, open My Fundraisers, find your fundraiser, and choose Edit.
3. Invite friends directly
Personal invitations outperform broadcast posts. The Invite Friends tool lets you import your contacts, then send invites by text or email. Text messages are a great first move: they feel personal because they are. Across the platform, the median fundraiser receives its first donation within about a day of being created, and direct invites are the fastest way to get there.
4. Share on social media, more than once
Fundraisers shared on social media tend to raise more, and one post is never enough because feeds move fast. Your fundraiser page has one-tap share buttons for WhatsApp, text, Facebook, and X, plus a copy-link button. Share when you launch, when you post an update, and when you reach a milestone.
5. Post updates
Every update is a fresh reason for people to visit, donate, and reshare. From My Fundraisers, select Post update on your fundraiser to share news, thank your donors, and keep momentum going.
6. Put your link everywhere
Add your fundraiser link to your social media bios, email signature, and group chats. Anywhere people already pay attention to you is a good home for your link. The Share button on your fundraiser page copies it in one tap.
7. Open up to the people who love you
Talking about fertility struggles is hard. Friends and family are often more supportive than you expect, and honesty is what moves people to help. You do not owe anyone every detail; share what feels right and let your story do the rest.
8. Take it offline
Print your fundraiser link on cards or flyers and bring them to showers, holiday gatherings, and community events. A short handwritten note with your link can land harder than any post.
